Our Story
Club Central Group
In 1962, the Illawarra Catholic Club set out to create a vibrant social space for the St George community. More than 60 years on, the vision of our founders and the contribution of generations of members and directors remain the foundation of who we are.
What began as a humble community club has grown into Club Central Group, spanning three local government areas, employing more than 300 people and welcoming hundreds of thousands of members and guests through our doors each year.
Today we welcome you to our clubs for dining, entertainment and events – or simply for the company of others.
Supporting the communities we are part of has been at the heart of this club since the very beginning and always will be. Whether it is ClubGRANTS funding for worthy local groups, sponsorships for local grassroots sport, donations and in-kind support for local charities, or our team volunteering at a community BBQ – we pride ourselves on giving back.
